India’s state-wise groundwater table depth with rate of decline

Punjab people have to dig deepest to search for groundwater after those in Rajasthan, and the water going deeper every year.

Telangana 24 hrs free current is short sighted policy , that will lead to disaster in the long run if not regulated . Especially if monsoon fails .

EVen in coastal Andhra , areas with fish ponds are experiencing high ground water depletion .

Although last two years rains have boosted the water table a lot in both telugu states

Due to lack of rains in red areas or something else?

On the contrary Punjab has even more rainfall than Andhra, Telangana .

Too much abuse of borewells + free current comboe0i7cp4lvsu01.png?width=640&crop=smart&a

Where is TG information ... Ikkada kuda anayayama ... Brahmi-2_1.gif?1337103173

TG and AP have too much regional variations , they just grouped everything to 5-10 but the depth varies a lot district by district .

Hell even in same district there is a lot of variation in AP due to large districts

Rayalaseema / Telangana is still highly dependent on borewells
