KCR Sacks Chief PRO, Too!

A week after shunting his high-profile public relations officer Gatika Vijay Kumar out of the chief minister’s office, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has shown the door even to his chief public relations officer Jwala Narasimha Rao.

According to highly placed sources, KCR called Jwala on Monday afternoon and asked him to put in his papers. And the latter had option but to follow the orders of the boss.

Though there were no allegations of corruption against Jwala on the lines of Vijay Kumar, sources said KCR was not happy with the performance of Jwala as a whole. 

“Jwala no doubt carries a lot of experience in working with various chief ministers in the past, but he is too old to catch up with the latest technology in image building,” sources said.

Most of the job was being done by the junior PROs and Jwala was not doing much, except writing articles in the newspapers, sources said.

It is learnt KCR wants to overhaul the entire media management wing of the CMO and bring in new people who are more efficient in enhancing the prestige of the CM.

In all probability, senior journalists closer to the CMO would be drafted into the publicity wing soon, sources added.
