you should first understand the difference between adaptation and original writing. Suddala Ashok Teja when questioned about it now saying he heard this song from his mother during childhood but forgot it until rela rela, now recollected when shekar kammula asked to write a song.

Though she didn’t write it, she is one of the main reason for popularity of the song. Otherwise probably would have not come out.

Credit to  Komali for bringing life back to a song that was lost or almost on the verge of it

i think Mangli version is much better than version i heard on Rela Re tv show  but who knows her version could also have been the same after audio fine tuning and good recording.

Komali , should be thankful that her song is in the limelight and that she  should not expect anything more than recognition for her work, than trying to gain media attention that song is not mangli's.

film crew should  more openly acknowledge that its komalis song in effect and idea behind using the song was from the way she sang it in tv show. They should try to compensate her monetarily but either giving her recognition or making a Komali's version of the song and releasing as an exclusive single. this way she will also feel satisfied.
