but they didnt assign it by birth..

a person can grow up to become a carpenter...

or another can become a priest..... then he will be called as Brahmin varna...not by birth brahmin.

oka group kinda divide ayyaka...when skill and trade is passed on to next generations , automatically they are branded by birth. :)

If you go way back, asalu Indian society has no kings and queens lol ...just work and chill...coz of the invasions...I guess they came up with the idea of classes (varna) to create societal discipline ...idk...brahmilaughing2.gif

So In a society if you have physical prowess he/she became warriors, good strategist  and teachers became brahmins, so forth and so on...I guess with that the society might have run like well greased wheel....but then some cunning ass put hierarchy label on it and exploitation started lol brahmilaughing2.gifmy sontha kapitham from material i have read

aryans brought the vedic culture into indian sub continent. are you talking about ppl before that who were not actually following hindu religion? dravidians and indus valley ppl?
