దిల్లీ: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని గంగవరం పోర్టులో మెజారిటీ వాటాలు తమ సొంతం కానున్నట్లు అదానీ గ్రూపు ప్రకటించింది. డీవీఎస్‌ రాజు, ఆయన కుటుంబానికి ఉన్న 58.1 శాతం వాటా కొనుగోలుకు రూ.3,604 కోట్ల ఒప్పందం కుదిరనట్లు పేర్కొంది. ఇప్పటికే ఈ పోర్టు కంపెనీలో 31.5 శాతం వాటాను రూ.1,954 కోట్లకు వార్‌బర్గ్‌ పింకస్‌ అనే విదేశీ సంస్థకు అనుబంధంగా ఉన్న విండీ లేక్‌సైడ్‌ ఇన్వెస్ట్‌మెంట్‌ లిమిటెడ్‌ నుంచి కొనుగోలు చేసేందుకు అదానీ గ్రూపు ఒప్పందం కుదుర్చుకుంది. దీంతో ఈ పోర్టు కంపెనీలో అదానీ గ్రూపునకు చెందిన అదానీ పోర్ట్స్‌ అండ్‌ ఎస్‌ఈజడ్‌ లిమిటెడ్‌ వాటా 89.6 శాతానికి చేరనుంది.

విశాఖపట్నం సమీపంలో ఉన్న గంగవరం పోర్టు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని రెండో అతిపెద్ద నాన్‌-మేజర్‌ పోర్టు. దీని వార్షిక సామర్థ్యం 6.4 కోట్ల టన్నులు. ఏ సీజన్లో అయినా సరకు రవాణా కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహించే అవకాశం ఈ పోర్టుకు ఉంది. బాగా లోతైన పోర్టు కావటంతో 2 లక్షల డీడబ్ల్యూటీ సామర్థ్యం గల సూపర్‌ కేప్‌ సైజ్‌ ఓడలూ వచ్చిపోగలవు. దాదాపు 1800 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో ఉన్న ఈ పోర్టులో 9 బెర్తులు ఉన్నాయి.బొగ్గు, ఇనుప ఖనిజం, ఎరువులు, సున్నపురాయి, బాక్సైట్‌, పంచదార, అల్యూమినియం, ఉక్కు ఎగుమతులు/ దిగుమతులు పెద్దఎత్తున సాగుతున్నాయి. తూర్పు, పడమర, దక్షిణ, మధ్య భారతదేశంలోని 8 రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి గంగవరం పోర్టుకు సరకు రవాణా సాగుతోంది.

గంగవరం పోర్టు కంపెనీ జారీ మూలధనం 51.70 కోట్ల షేర్లు. ఇందులో డీవీఎస్‌ రాజు, ఆయన కుటుంబానికి 58.1 శాతం వాటా ఉంది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ప్రభుత్వ వాటా 10.4 శాతం కాగా, వార్‌బర్గ్‌ పింకస్‌ చేతిలో 31.5 శాతం వాటా ఉంది. వార్‌బర్గ్‌ పింకస్‌, డీవీఎస్‌ రాజు, ఆయన కుటుంబ వాటానే తాజాగా అదానీ గ్రూపు కొనుగోలు చేస్తోంది. దీంతో ఈ పోర్టు కంపెనీలో 89.6 శాతం వాటా అదానీ పరమైంది.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని కృష్ణపట్నం పోర్టును కొంతకాలం క్రితం అదానీ పోర్ట్స్‌ అండ్‌ ఎస్‌ఈజడ్‌ సొంతం చేసుకున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఇప్పుడు గంగవరం పోర్టునూ దక్కించుకుంటే దేశానికి తూర్పు తీరంలో, ముఖ్యంగా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ రాష్ట్ర సముద్రతీరంలో అదానీ పోర్ట్స్‌ అత్యంత క్రియాశీల సంస్థగా ఆవిర్భవించినట్లు అవుతుంది.

Adani's future is now tied closely to India's.

No one gets to  play power politics for way too long. Adani has been playing well for almost a decade now and I think he has reached peak, only thing left is the fall. 

Adani now controls major ports on east and west coasts. International shipping companies definitely want a pie in this growing business and will make a strong attempt and when they do, Adani will be the one in line of fire and just in case if NDA is out of power, One can expect an italian company to take over Adani.
