First thing, airlines alliance okati pattukuni zindagi motham danike stick avvali. Appudu rewards, upgrades anni vosthayi ekkuva miles travel chesthe. Manollu idi asalu follow avvaru enduko. Naku telisina vallu NJ to Hyd United teskuntaru always. ! checkin allowed anthe. Enduku uncle ante star alliance annaru. Emirates doesn't come under star but Air India does. So ila plan cheskovali..Deni gurinchi inka detailed ga telisina vallu share info

First things first, ae credit card vunna...ae airline alliance aina..sastha ticket ae mana concept..

I booked a round trip in United for $650 SFO-HYD, inthakante sastha inkoti dorakadu...

Luft-Vistara mid june lo round trip $750 ki dorikindi..

airline alliance or airine cards are like luring to stick to one airlines...edo deal dorikindi ani, miles ani chetulu kalchukuntam...sastha airline ticket mundu ae credit card deal aina waste..

If you travel a lot domestic then choose an airline card and a hotel card , check the points guy or nerd wallet for that

Check-in bags free and early boarding are good and cover the cost difference mostly 

cheaper airlines like Frontier will require some subscription as well for lower fares , but you need to pay for luggage etc , so chivaraki bagane avutundi , these can be used for traveling light (less luggage) or when you are traveling single..

If you travel by car , then a hotel card makes more sense , like a IHG or a Hilton , I mostly use Holiday Inn and I so try to choose those hotels wherever I go, less headache in worrying about quality of breakfast , hotel etc..

Overall one card ante - I strongly recommend Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR). 

The 450 fee may look scary - but they give $300 back in travel credit very easily. Their definition of travel is very broad and makes it easy to get that 300 back without issues. Flight, car rental, metro, public trasport, tolls etc everything eligible for that $300. 

Covid time lo groceries kooda aa $300 ki eligible pettadu but that is temp.

The travel insurance/protection that comes with CSR is un beatable, much better that Amex Plat too. 

Fees is 450-300 --> net 150 in my opinion. For $55 more that Sapphire Preferred, it is well worth it. 

You cannot apply for preferred and reserve. If you got bonus on one of the sapphire cards you cant get bonus in the sapphire family for the next 48 months. 

Before applying chase cards look up "5/24 rule"

CC deals are not waste. Airline miles are insanely valuable if you know how to use them. License leni vaadiki Lambo aina Civic aina okkate - chooddam tappa chesedi emi ledu kabatti

CC deals epudaina vuntayi...worst case la you get 2% cashback...or some sort of miles or rewards..

Travel apudu miles collect chesukovadam...miles collect chesukonika travel and CC teesukovadam, both are not the same...

Most of the times, people tend to spend more on tickets just to stick to their airline card or alliance.

if you know why you are spending more to stick to the alliance - then it is OK. edo sentiment type lo money spend chestunte thats foolishness.
