Too much real estate bubble is not good . I went to surat once , I was surprised to see sugarcane plants right next to the city . 

Can we find large swathe of fields outside telugu cities ?  Almost all of the land is just empty real estate ventures

Yes. Manchi farm lands ni real estate ventures laa convert sesi decades decades empty gaa leaving. I hope we don't run into food crisis in future.

Food crisis pedha issue kadhu , food grains will be plenty but other items like oil , pulses will be dependent on imports .

So prices will fluctuate depending on international prices just like what's happening to cooking oil right now 

We have a very exploitative farming system , farm income is growing negatively every year taking inflation into account

Oil seeds are very labour intensive , it's not economically  feasible for many areas of india to grow them . So we have grown to be dependent on imports for majority of the oil seeds . 

Notice that groundnut oil did not have such drastic increase , because most of it is sourced from india unlike sunflower , palm oil ,etc . 

When international price increases so does our rates .  Same for pulses
