  • 27-year-old was taking part in individual competition Thursday when he fell 
  • Daniel-Andre Tande lost control while in the air, turned on his side and hit the slope hard 
  • He bounced and then tumbled for several hundred feet before coming to a stop 
  • He was placed in a coma and flown to hospital, where medics said he has suffered a broken collarbone and his injuries are not life-threatening
