What if it is a direct client? I am new to this consulting gig, I was a full timer earlier. Now thinking of moving to consulting. Don't know how to negotiate the higher since I knew the employer for so long through mutual connections. Want to ask him higher billing. please suggest

Looking at the IQ level of the people posting on this DB, are they really worth 120k USD per annum? Most of them are testers anyways but still thinking anything above 50k USD is a jackpot for them as usually majority of these supporting roles will not fetch more than 15 Lakh INR in Hyderabad, enough to cover living  expenses without declaring bankruptcy

After taxes how much will it be in hand?

Assuming your kids go to the Govt school, what are the expenses and ultimate savings? Assuming you do not have fantacy with Tesla things.

Even testers are getting this much in BayArea, I think Developers may get some 5k to 10k more?

75$ per hour. Not 75k per year.

Bro, I come from a non-it background and worked in the US for 5+ years and left the US due to bad job market. For the last 4+ years I am working in the IT field, started as a Data Analyst, Python Developer and Sr. Software Engineer in Cloud now. Got a offer to work in the Dallaspuram, but I have a stable job and life in India now and making some 26+ Lakh in Hyderabad. After this offer, I am in confusion how to take forward this offer with better rates. I don't want to make a dumb move, I know about this DB and have seen really dumb people. but I believe it's nothing wrong in gathering as much as information. what do you say?

How many hours are considered usually the full working day, is it 7 or 7.5 or 8 ?

In the UK, IT contractors will be paid only for 8 Hours, irrespective of actual hours you put in.

Say if in the US also they pay for 8 Hours, given that rate, it will be around $600 per day, how much can the employee get in hand?
