Ppl need something to talk . As we might already know only intellectuals and really smart ppl talk about new things or ideas . Most of the ppl with less to mediocore intellect can only talk about the things which they see,read or listen. Most of the ppl who talk abt sports , movies or politics hardly know the ground reality. Its all data driven knowledge which in my opinion has very less to know value as you can get the info by simply googling. Your intellect comes into play when u can use this data and make any good for you or society. my 2 cents.
