రైళ్లలో ఉండే మొబైల్‌ ఛార్జింగ్‌ పరికరాలను రాత్రి 11 నుంచి ఉదయం 5 గంటల మధ్యలో నిలిపివేయాలని రైల్వే శాఖ నిర్ణయించింది. అగ్ని ప్రమాదాలను నివారించేందుకు ముందు జాగ్రత్తగా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

There is a reason behind this. Bogies are powered by 110 V DC batteries unlike 230 V supply at homes

Because of lower voltage, the amount of power that can pass becomes high causing higher risk of fire on the charging cables. Because people plug in their chargers and go to sleep, the risk is much higher of a fire going UN-noticed.

This is a good decision, forward thinking on safety.
