how to get good at vim..

ee roju org meeting lo saw a dev use vim at blinding speed.. i don't know him well enough to ask him this question but anyone knows good way to learn and get fast and do amazing things in vim.. i used it in the past but it was too painful so i gave up

Yeah, vim is awesome but If you don't use or practice day to day you will forget them..

edaina sare oka 10-20 most important syntax untai kaka. just avi vaste chaalu.

he just by-hearted commands anduke ala anipinchi untundi.. practice tho vastundi anthe

few basic keyboard shortcuts chusuko kaka... text ediror ki anthakantae emi vuntadhi

press dd  to del a line in text.. check for vim cheatsheat or keyborad shortcuts

 

• h - move cursor left
• j - move cursor down
• k - move cursor up
• l - move cursor right
• H - move to top of screen
• M - move to middle of screen
• L - move to bottom of screen
• w - jump forwards to the start of a word
• W - jump forwards to the start of a word (words can contain punctuation)
• e - jump forwards to the end of a word
• E - jump forwards to the end of a word (words can contain punctuation)
• b - jump backwards to the start of a word
• B - jump backwards to the start of a word (words can contain punctuation)

if you are using windows machine dont even think about vim setup...not as good as linux or mac...

if you are well used to vim...and your productivity improves drastically...you dont need to touch the mouse..
