As voting was underway for the second phase of the Assembly elections in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, 1 April, threatened to move court, alleging that the Election Commission was not was not taking cognizance of the complaints being raised by the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Banerjee also spoke to Governor Jagdeep Dhankar while she was visiting a polling booth in Nandigram and urged him to take action.

Governor Dhankar said that the issues raised by her will be looked into by those concerned, adding that he is “confident all will act in right spirit and earnestness so that democracy flourishes.”

Every polling station will be under either state special police or central force...indulo kotha emundi ?

FYI, state police will be used for bandobast, transport of material and men, safeguarding election equipment and etc, Polling stations ni epudu aina special police, reserve or central force ae vuntadi

no idea bro. I don't follow politics. I just wish Modi is dragged on streets and beaten.

apart from that I don't really care who replaces him, as long as its not another scum from BJP.

if state police is manning the polling booth, state administration will force to vote for TMC..

Usually polling booths are manned by central reserve, state special police usually non-local. For example, for elections in Tamil Nadu, special police of non Tamil speaking state takes charge. Law and order state police will not man the polling booth.

Im not being defensive, trying to explain a practice, a norm that is usually followed.
