first I have a very low opinion of people in society. I don't care if they die in large numbers or become sheeps.. because they are already that.

To be afraid that someone could control our thoughts by pulses to our brain, when they could do it simply by bombarding us with targeted ads is just ridiculous. 'capitalism' will also not choose the most expensive way to do something.

this is not that cheap ads engine...anthakuminchi...your thoughts, conscious and your dreams...

ok...if it is not capitalism..what is it?

then why you are bothering...?

nenu cheppedi kooda adhe...

every startup..demo lo...cheppe padam ... "for better future and humanity" ani...kaani reality is different...

eg: uber, facebook..etc thats why i mentioned capitalism...

if you see the two videos above...it is pretty sure...it is reading the mind clearly...its not difficult to apply pattern matching algorithms ..and get you know your emotions...even you are tight lipped...

its not my imagination...now a days everything DATA...

how much you have data..that much control big tech or govts has...

I haven't seen the video. I haven't see the earlier pig stunt. I haven't read a single paper on this neuralink. I just dont take any of Musk's claim seriously. He's a conman, simple

if startups could create path breaking technologies, then we would be having flying cars because some billionaire poured his pocket money into that tech and hired a few geniuses to get it done.

everything is not data. I don't think we have the ability to even collect all data to make the kind of precise inputs to manipulate a system as complex as the brain. just because we have some shiny graphic on the screen, doesn't mean we have all the necessary data, or that we can manipulate that particular system. Its just a marketing gimmick like 99.99999% of AI companies.

Also I have zero knowledge on this. someday I may get around to actually knowing about this stuff before talking about it. but rightn ow, I don't. I don't think Musk does too.

bothering what? I don't care if people die.

I care to know what those who do live do next.

your thoughts, consciousness and dreams are not as simple as price of groceries in your market to manipulate.

If I have to make a guess, whatever this neuralink is selling is already available in the market commercially. and there's no big leap in tech that Musk's company will make.

you can be sure about Musk. He's gonna fcuk up the tech world with these kind of bullshit stunts, while actual work is done by someone you wouldn't even know.

again capitalism is too broad a term to talk about this. I don't understand what is so scary about this tech.

for eg. how long do you think some enterprising hacker can recreate that covid vaccine?? capitalism cannot stop him/her. They can stop him from selling it. IP and all.

that big business or govt can control technology and its wide adoption is just a myth.

what one guy or one organization can come up with, several other guys/organizations can too.

the problem is not with the tech, but with how humans are organized. If nations fail and people die because of a particular tech, they probably deserved it. lets see if those who survive make better choices.

Tech cannot be stopped. and should not be. better for humans to evolve into a cloud of gas, than to remain in a swamp.

ok...

what you are saying is ...

1. there is no such tech really..its all market gimmik...

2. if this tech is really there...what extra information it can extract..

am i correct..?

if yes..here is my answer...

i wish...it is market gimmik...not real...

if this tech is there...the current tech is good at extracting behaviour patterns...(for example..A/B testing..etc)...not thinking pattern...but this new tech could lead to that...

behaviour pattern , thinking patterns are different...

to behave some way...we have to go through lot of thinking...

tech development is a slow painful random process.

billionaires 'with vision' cannot speed that up. all the money in the world cannot do it.

yes tech will be used for control. like the internet which was originally envisioned as peer to peer networking protocol. which now became a tool for mass surveillance.

but there's a limit to how intrusively a tech can be used to control, and to help people.

to worry about how capitalism is gonna use this tech, is pointless.

ofcourse its gonna try to use it for 'brainwashing'.. but what would they brainwash people with? I mean already kids are brainwashed to love their nation - total fcuking bullshit. people are brainwashed to think there's no alternative to capitalism..

what more evil do you think can people be made to do? I mean, there's a point when their existence itself becomes useless to the system if they are brainwashed more than the required amount.. they become burden to the system. So there are limits to brainwashing.

and if people can be completely brainwashed, then they can be replaced by robots itself. what's the point of brainwashing at that level?

so this new 'tech' is gonna create a new batch of bs startups that claim to offer solutions that are useless to both corporations and individuals.

this is the lamest possible tech to be afraid of.

sure govts can use this to categorize people on how they 'think'. They can be fought politically. Corporates can use this to deny services to people. They also can be fought politically.

ultimately its not a tech issue at all. Its an issue of humans inability to organize themselves in the optimal possible way.

reading the brain is different from writing into it. I don't think the latter is possible yet.

reading is stepping stone....

once reading is done..writing..is not much difficult...

haha.. If I had the brains, and the motivation, I would work towards creating micromanufacturing tech, and creative market systems.

but right now, I have the money to just be a keyboard monkey typing sh1t on a db. I can do this for the next 100yrs without going penniless.

Elon Musk is an idiot who's busy play acting some kind of weird genius, instead of retiring and enjoying his billions.

I'm gonna bet that he can't do jackshit in any of the stuff he claims he can. He's just taking losers like you for a ride.

give me a timeline for a tech you think Elon Musk is gonna innovate.. and I would place $10k bet right now.
