if you are concerned with money, try booking for one person who can taste wine usually below $50 and then you all can explore the winery grounds like grape plantations, location etc. Confirm with winery if your family can accompany you if you are the only one tasting.

mid April to July - wineries/grape trees anni green avuthai, buds will boom with flowers but no grapes yet, but in July and August the temperatures will be very high as you go towards north of Napa i.e towards Calistoga. may be up to 90-100F.

Aug to Oct - wineries will turn yellow and red with fall colors, you will find clusters of grapes, harvesting of grapes will start from august and all the way to October.

Wine tasting:

tastings are same all year
