Opinion: Hari's Death Is An Eye Opener For Youngsters

Harikrishna Yadav, a YSRCP social media activist, succumbed to Covid-19 recently. He has been the YSRCP flag bearer from the birth of the party. He was married just eight months ago. The reason for his exposure to Coronavirus is his aggressive participation in election rallies in Tirupathi. The youngsters like him get nothing but some temporary self pleasure and a kind of trophy relationship with local leaders of the party.

If they aim at some good positions in the party down the line, they should keep in mind that they never get. Leaving some rare exceptions, all the powerful and recognised positions will be taken away by the rich people who are power and money craving. The grassroot level party worker will be biting the grass forever.

The plight of Chandrababu can be observed now. The people who are facing police cases, jails and other harassment are the grassroot level workers of TDP who know no proper politics. The elite and the rich who tried to make money moved closely to CBN but now all of them deserted him and safely living in their respective places doing their businesses. In fact, some of them have already shifted their loyalties and are now closely working with the present ruling politicians of AP and Telangana.

The educated youngsters should value their lives and future but never burn themselves with meaningless political relations and participating in political rallies.

It is the fundamental responsibility of the party officials to bring this information to the notice of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The Party Supremo should make some time to call the family of the deceased and console them.

It is known that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called to console ABN Radhakrishna who is a hardcore supporter of TDP, on the obituary of his wife.

So, calling the family of his own partyman is the need of the hour. This brings a lot of strength to the cadre and other ground level workers. Recognition for work at least at the time of death makes a lot of sense for the family members. Extending financial aid and a job to the eligible family members of the deceased can bring some glory to the Chief Minister and YSRCP.

The bottomline is that the youngsters should know this plight. This is the situation in every party irrespective of YSRCP, TDP, Janasena or BJP.  Politicians come behind the powerful, the rich and the ones who can add value to their mission and vision. Holding the party flag and running on streets is not an enough thing to do by the educated youngsters to pull the attention of the leaders. They have to become responsible persons in their lives first, and then think about politics.
