కోలీవుడ్‌లో ప్రముఖ దర్శకుడు, సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌ కె.వి.ఆనంద్‌ (54) కరోనా సోకి, చికిత్స పొందుతూ.. శుక్రవారం ఉదయం 3గంటల సమయంలో గుండెపోటుతో కన్నుమూశారు. ఈయన చెన్నై అడయారులోని నివాసంలో భార్య, తల్లి, కుమార్తెలతో కలసి ఉంటున్నారు. భార్య, కుమార్తెలకు కరోనా సోకగా వీరు ఇంట్లోనే చికిత్స పొందుతూ వచ్చారు. ఈనేపథ్యంలో కేవీ ఆనంద్‌కు కరోనా నిర్ధరించగా ప్రైవేటు ఆసుపత్రిలో చేరారు. ఈయన పార్థివదేహాన్ని ఆసుపత్రి నుంచి శ్మశానవాటికకు తరలించే క్రమంలో ఆయన నివాసం ముందు కొంత సేపు ఆపగా ఆయన తల్లి, బంధువులు కడసారి చూసుకుని కన్నీటి పర్యంతమయ్యారు. బెసెంట్‌ నగర్‌లో జరిగిన అంతిమ సంస్కారాల్లో దర్శకులు సముద్ర ఖని, బాల పాల్గొని వారి కుటుంబాన్ని ఓదార్చారు. ‘తెన్నావిన్‌ కోంబత్‌’ అనే మలయాళీ చిత్రంతో సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌గా 1994లో కె.వి.ఆనంద్‌  కెరీర్‌ను ప్రారంభించారు. ‘ఒకే ఒక్కడు’, ‘ప్రేమదేశం’, ‘బాయ్స్‌’, ‘శివాజీ’ లాంటి సూపర్‌ హిట్ చిత్రాలకు సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌గా పనిచేశారు. సూర్యతో ‘వీడొక్కడే’, ‘బ్రదర్స్‌’, నటుడు జీవాతో ‘రంగం’, ధనుష్‌తో ‘అనేకుడు’ లాంటి హిట్ సినిమాలకు
దర్శకత్వ వహించారు. సూర్య, మోహన్‌లాల్‌తో బందోబస్త్‌ అనే చిత్రానికి చివరిసారిగా దర్శకత్వం చేశారు. తమిళం, మలయాళం, తెలుగు, హిందీ భాషల్లో పలు చిత్రాలకు సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌గా వ్యవహరించారు.
తెలుగులో తెరకెక్కిన ‘పుణ్యభూమి నాదేశం’ సినిమాకు ఈయనే సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌. మోహన్‌లాల్‌ నటించిన ‘తెన్నావిన్‌ కోంబత్‌’ చిత్రానికి కె.వి.ఆనంద్‌ జాతీయ అవార్డు అందుకున్నారు. ఈయన మృతిపట్ల సూపర్‌స్టార్‌ రజనీకాంత్‌, కమల్‌హాసన్‌తో పాటు పలువురు కోలీవుడ్‌, టాలీవుడ్‌ ప్రముఖులు సంతాపం తెలిపారు.
