That’s not true, I called Lufthansa this afternoon

Urgent - Lufthansa 2021 flights from India: I have a flight to the US on 22 March and I just found out that Lufthansa is only allowing certain visa holders (OCI, Green Card, Diplomatic) to board its flights and not me (F1).

I was not emailed about this or conveyed this information in any way when they changed my flight. Is or was anyone in the same boat? What are my options now?

Thanks!

UPDATE: after ~20 customer care calls to Lufthansa I finally found a helpful and cooperative customer care agent who rebooked me to a United flight on a different day with only a 7k fare difference. If you are in my situation go to united.com, enter your booking code and if your flights are showing, just print that ticket.

The first customer care agent was extremely unhelpful and gave me misleading and false information: she said we can't rebook you on a flight to united because technically my flight isn't cancelled and she doesn't have the authority. She told me to email and in the email response, they were asking for 54k. Then when I called the same agent again she said 30k (pm me for conversation details, there is obviously more context to the story). I don't understand how the quality of the service differs so much from agent to agent.

I was the last person to board the flight at Delhi, if you have a 2 hour layover at T3 and don't have both boarding passes prepare to run. There was a long line at immigration.

If you are going to India then yes , you can transit via europe . Just make a note of transit requirements in each airport .

If you are traveling to US via Europe only USC / GC and certain visa holders can come . Please check the presidential proclamation for specific visa categories that are allowed

British is also not allowing visitors, students and H1bs. That’s why everyone was booking United, ai and Qatar
