New Trump Twitter account is SUSPENDED after Facebook Oversight Committee upholds ban

  • Account titled @DJTDesk was reportedly set up Tuesday to share personal statements from Trump
  • As of Wednesday evening, the account had been suspended by Twitter officials for violating its rules
  • Trump was suspended from Twitter in January following claims his incendiary tweets helped stoke the US Capitol riot
  • He was similarly banned from Facebook in the days following the riot
  • On Wednesday, Facebook's Oversight Committee upheld the ban on Trump's account
  • Without social media, the former President has now created a new website titled 'From The Desk of Donald J. Trump'
  • He will publish personal statements to the site, which fans can then share to their own Twitter and Facebook pages 42638256-9548631-image-a-4_1620280427078
