Wife did B-Pharmacy & M-Pharmacy in India.

No IT knowledge and scared to go to IT side including testing side. She has H4-EAD but not using it and has been wasted for 3 years.

What do you guys recommend? She is thinking to learn SAS but we have no idea and need some info who is already on the same boat.

1) Is SAS programming or non-programming

2) How is the job market for SAS?

3) is it easy to learn who has non IT background?

4) What kind of SAS has more demand right now?

5) How to start with it and any suggestions are appreciated.

) Is SAS programming or non-programming

SAS is programming but simple like SQL code

2) How is the job market for SAS?

limited same for all pharma fields

3) is it easy to learn who has non IT background? Can learn but need to spend more time in Initial days

4) What kind of SAS has more demand right now?Clinical SAS

5) How to start with it and any suggestions are appreciated. Start with BASE SAS can download from Google

but my 2 cents it's better to look for jobs in drug regulatory submissions side , SAS will be tougher than IT testing job . Regulatory submissions are like document work more of pdf editing

Thanks for the response. What do you mean by drug regulatory submissions side? Is that a technology like Clinical SAS or completely different from it? Can you throw some light on it please?

regulatory submission means doing paperwork for patents and other govt related legal approvals. Your wife should be able to explain this regulator work. it is not IT work.

since she has H4 ead, she can directly join any job in any field. Don't need to go in IT only.

I echo him. More programming then regular IT jobs. Contracting jobs are challenging now.

Since she is on EAD ask her to learn something less of coding. May be Apex or testing.
She can also try R&D jobs in her field but the downside is they are paid low and require to be in office 100%.

Does she need to write any exam or do course to get qualified for this regulatory submission positions?

R&D means regulatory submissions or is it something different?

spouse is not supporting means, he/ she is having intention to self learn things on on your own way and it’s better option in long run. You don’t have to depend on any one if you practicing this way
