How many nurses did you know? There are two kinds - one who work for money with no professional degrees, the other who come into field after finishing professional degree in nursing. Some of them are inspired by nurses like Nightingale. I don't think you met enough of the professional ones.

My wife is a psych nurse here in the US. During Covid times - many times when she was driving through the drive-thru - after noticing her scrubs - she was offered free coffee acknowledging her services.

There's certainly a difference in the attitude towards nurses in places like India and in the US. They do deserve a lot of our respect and consideration.

First time I started hating India and I am really ashamed of being called as Indian. Living in the UK since 12 years!

I now have a very strong point to make. UK's Healthcare which is handled by the Single and National Institution called NHS did an incredible job of protecting 6.5 crores of its citizens.

Majority of NHS staff come from other countries as White British Nationals stopped working in Healthcare. Compare this with India which has such a huge work force at its dispense and still cannot have an Institution thats even comparable to NHS in any aspect.

When UK Govt came to know that they are in the middle of a brutal second wave during the first week of January,2021, they have:

1. First went for a National Lockdown.

2. Started vaccinating its people 24x7

3. Profiling of people based on age, so that they could go vaccinating 90+, get the feedback, 80+, get the feedback, improve, 70+, 60+ 50+, 40+.......

4. Thanks to NHS, profiling people's by age and their health risks was made easy so that risky people with health conditions are removed and only healthy people are vaccinated

INDIA cannot become UK in next 100 years, I can say this.

Even though its sad to say, I am really happy that the so called upper castes who treat them such, are seeing their own $hit in their own homes....they will understand the sacrifices made by Nurses at least now!!

Convey my Respect to her bro. They are real angels. I say with pride.

Fu-ck India, they are really paying for their sins. I have been a strong supporter of India, BJP and Nationalism.

You can see my posts, but started hating it since 2 weeks. The way they treat cleaners, Healthcare workers and other such jobs, they deserve whats happening. I admit all my family members are there in India (except my wife and children) but still do not hesitate to say this!

Okay bro, I got your point and I am aware of that too. But does that make Nurses any bad????

Still I say they are angels. And everyone else is a beast.

The work they do is Divine. When you go to $hit, you do not look into commode as you hate your own $hit. Imagine the nurses who will deal with it when you get operated for your hydrocele and Hernia.

Thanks a lot for your comment brother.

But I do appeal to you - please do not blame the country of India in toto. You have every right to blame the lack of governance from the government and the lackadaisical approach of the politicians in power but - I am sure even you will agree that we cannot paint an entire nation with one single stroke of a brush.

But I can understand your anger, frustration and pain at the lack of action from the Indian government.
