350 In Kannauj

Around 350 dead bodies are buried near the Mahadevi Ganga Ghat in Kannauj. The administration is putting soil on them so that no one can see. Rajnarayan Pandey, an employee working at the ghat here, says that the dead bodies buried on the banks of the Ganges rise as the water level rises. These corpses also flow to other districts. This is the situation in the districts situated along the Ganges.

400 In Kanpur

In one of the most populated cities in Uttar Pradesh- Kanpur- many corpses have been buried in a distance of half an hour near Sherreshwar Ghat. The Bhaskar reporter himself investigated it. Things were very scary. As far as the reporter looked, only the dead bodies were seen buried in the ground. While dogs were seen biting some of the corpses, eagles and crows were seen sitting on some. As soon as the information was received, the police team also reached. The police started the work of putting soil on each corpse.

900 In Unnao

During this pandemic, UP’s Unnao has seen one of the largest crematoriums on the bank of the river. More than 900 dead bodies are buried near Shuklaganj Ghat and Buxar Ghat. Dainik Bhaskar investigated both places. Human organs were seen scattered at every step. Dogs were seen lurking around these bodies, taking bites. After the Hindi daily broke the news, the administration was awakened from sleep and in a hurry, all the dead bodies were removed from the shroud and sand was thrown over them, the report said.

20 In Fatehpur

In Fatehpur, adjacent to Unnao, about 20 dead bodies were found buried along the Ganges. On Thursday, the administration of Fatehpur and Unnao kept telling that these dead bodies were from each others’ areas. After nearly 8 hours of effort, it was decided that the people of both districts will perform the last rites of the dead bodies in their respective areas. The administration then put the soil on the bodies already found, the report stated.

50 In Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur

So far 13 bodies have been evacuated from Ganga and Yamuna river from Sangamnagar Prayagraj. Three of these dead bodies belonged to the suicide victims, who have been identified, while the other 10 dead bodies were unidentified. Police have cremated all 10 dead bodies.

More than 12 dead bodies were seen at Ganga Ghat in Barora village of Chandauli within two days. The police buried all these dead bodies. Even before this, about 2 to 3 corpses have been seen. In the last two days, 8 bodies were found on the banks of the Ganga at Rampur Ganga Ghat in Bhadohi. The condition of all of them was very bad. The bodies were completely rotten, the report said.

On Monday, a dead body was found on the banks of the Ganges at Fataha Ghat in Mirzapur. 7 bodies were found simultaneously along the Ganges in the Sujabad area of Varanasi. Even before this, one or two corpses used to be found every day. The police buried all the dead bodies with the help of a JCB in the sand along the ghat.

280 In Ghazipur

In this large district of Purvanchal, carcasses continue to be found in the Ganges. Two days ago, Bhaskar had revealed the presence of more than 110 corpses here. A video of 52 corpses was also shown. The police removed and buried all the dead bodies. But even now the corpses continue to be found. Every day about 10 to 12 corpses are being found. On the other hand, more than 100 dead bodies were found in Bihar’s Buxar two days ago. Since then the Buxar Police has set up a trap in the Ganges. So far more than 15 trapped corpses have been taken out from the Ganges, the report informed.
