Baa acre ki 10k kuda profit radu ga ?

Normally we get slightly above 10 k per acre

This is our third crop ,with very little effort.  Basically we think it as free money .Also 40% less crop due to bad weather.

The bonus of Green gram is the leftover leaves will act as green manure for the main paddy crop

What about Expenses?

Seeds at 125/kg * 8 per acre +  diesel + some labour for spraying the seeds .

We own a tractor , so not counting it

2 k per acre pesticides

3 to 4 k per acre harvesting

Since we are a costal area we have pest problems no matter what . If we don't spray the pesticides we usually get  green insects which will eat the leaves and worst enemy for this crop  tobacco caterpillar will infest it and eat away the young pods and suck out the plant .

So yes we have to spray the pesticides , otherwise we will sustain huge drop in production.

But in arid areas like rayalaseema , palanadu, etc they can grow it without any pesticides . They usually grow this as the main crop for second season

It's the same everywhere , farmers don't have time or patience to sell it individually.

Normally a lot of family friends and neighbouring farmers buy it from us since we relatively use less pesticides but we  sell most of produce to middlemen
