On Wednesday, a Tesla Model 3 car, right, reportedly owned by AOC was seen parked illegally outside a Whole Foods near her luxury apartment building. The electric car sell for up to $59,000 and are specially modified to travel long distances, capable of making the DC to New York journey on a single charge. The story prompted surprised reactions online that AOC might have purchased a Tesla, as the socialist firebrand has pledged to railed against the billions of dollars in low-interest loans and tax breaks that had helped the company become the leading electric vehicle company in the world.
