In India’s battle with Corona Virus, the whole world is joining hands. Many countries have sent relief supplies, oxygen cylinders, emergency injections, and other medical supplies. The United States of America is also supporting us in this fight. The White House has said that their country has so far provided more than $500 million worth of assistance to India. Not stopping with that, the USA will soon distribute 80 million vaccines to other countries as well.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has officially confirmed the same in a virtual press conference. “To date, the United States has provided over $500 million in COVID relief to India, including contributions from the US federal and state governments, American companies and organizations, and private citizens,” she stated.

They sent seven air shipments, including health supplies, oxygen, oxygen supplies, and 95 masks, rapid diagnostic tests, and medicine. A total of 60 million of AstraZeneca and 20 million of three other approved vaccines were also sent.

Jen Psaki also revealed that the interagency procedure is underway. The interagency team including National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and those from the State Department will discuss the distribution of the vaccine doses.
