And it is sad it to see. People are depending on confidence more than the healthcare system in India. We have led people to rely on arbitrary qualities over what should have been a basic right. Few years ago we celebrated that we had a 1 in 1000 doctor/population ratio in India. Clearly this pandemic has exposed the failings of our system. It is overburdened and the threads are coming off. I am not sure what 1 in 1000 means now. May be more are needed. However, there are very few incentives for people to become doctors.
