100+ police were posted to control the crowd and they still couldn't do anything, they are trying to make better distribution to avoid crowding

One positive thing about this quack medicine is it is giving patients immense confidence that they will be cured.

Be it quack medicine or vaccine... confidence is the key. If one can get that whichever means, that’s important.

And it is sad it to see. People are depending on confidence more than the healthcare system in India. We have led people to rely on arbitrary qualities over what should have been a basic right.  Few years ago we celebrated that we had a 1 in 1000 doctor/population ratio in India. Clearly this pandemic has exposed the failings of our system. It is overburdened and the threads are coming off. I am not sure what 1 in 1000 means now. May be more are needed. However, there are very few incentives for people to become doctors. Forget about the poor, it is mostly out of the reach of the Indian middle class. The risk to reward ratio is too high.
