Some cases allopathy is best, in some Ayurvedic is best.. esp if its not life threatening and we have time .. ayurvedic can work.. its generlly a slow medicine.. Next time you feel gassy or diarrhea try Fenugreek seeds+curd/buttermilk: work as better than the tablets. (Not really sure this is natu vaidyam or ayurvedic)... Similarly vamu+salt works great for indigestion... Few years back, I had back pain, doc said he needs to inject some medicine into my spine to cure back pain + sciatica. Just to try I went to Kerala type of hosp in Hyd and with in 6months its gone (massages, medicine/potion and some tips like standing while working, posture correction etc)... Watched an argument yesterday, he was saying the so called IcMR is comparing any Ayurvedic medicine with allopathy standards which is wrong he says.
