First of all , upanayanam cheyyali ante minimum 25-30K in India ... b/w 2-3K in USA avthadhi . One day lo not possible 2 or 3 days minimum spend cheyyali ... jathakarma nunchi modhalu pedithe upanayanam dhaka chala chestharu ... ye caste vallanayina cheskocchu ... 

ipudu ee batch kukka ki chesindhi nijame ankunte assal vallu antha money karchupetti... proper vaidika paddhathulo chesinattu ledhu . Just edho attention seeking kosam chesinattu unnaru anthe ....

All they did was put the thread, dress up the dog in traditional way and whispered the mantra into it's ears. Chala mandi play dress up with dogs. It appears the same to me.  Deeniki intha discussion waste

I'm more concerned about their impudence to upanayam.. antha comedy aipoinda vallaki.

It's sacred for some section and discrimination for others.. I don't have problems with both and fine if this is coming from discrimination section.

nenu 10+yrs sadiva oka 90%+ brahmin school lo. naaku upanayanam ante ento few years back aey telisindhi.. hehe..

all traditions are crap. and should be sh1t on. either by others, or by those who practice that tradition.

as long as brahmins are culturally dominant (not for long), their sacred things won't be allowed to become jokes le. but eventually they will become jokes. because they always were. each generation should shed the baggage from the previous, and not hold things dear that their parents held as sacred.
