Wasnt this sword double edged?

Govt shouldn't have say in what a person has to say in his/her daily life.  Similarly, large corporates especially the social media companies which has monopoly market, shouldn't have say in what a person has to say in his/her daily life.

Indian lo ee debate ki International influence on local law ani inko additional point of view kuda vasthundi.

freedom of expression entra gootle.. trump violated their terms of use and got banned.

here the govt is trying to impose new laws, which the companies are challenging

is that the debate?

The corporations are fighting for their right to conduct their business in a manner that is consistent with their terms of use, for their customers.

Its not about 'freedom of speech' or anything. If they lose this case, they will change their terms of use. simple. They will aslo lose market share.

the extent to which they will fight the case, is a simple RoI calculation about how much market share they will potentially lose, compared to the costs of fighting this.

corporations don't care about freedom of speech. They care only about their market share and bottomline.

they will bend and crawl to the govt, if it's useful for their bottomline.

the larger debate around 'freedom of speech' is purely political. has nothing to do with corporations. eg. using the govt to enforce interoperability between platforms..that is the actual freedom debate.

Drump instigated violence bhayya

dont you see attacks on WH

Lol he didn’t. Please quote him when you say and also don’t dice and slice his statements publish them in full. He clearly told to peacefully protest. In fact he made lot more worst statements during his presidency but was not banned because it would have hurt their profits. And what about the countless number of riots and destruction of everyday lives by BLM? Don’t normal people’s lives matter? Why not ban them too.
Social media companies are simply playing a political game. Either they should allow all speech or apply standards equally.
