There have been several studies in psychology, sociology, and criminology from time immemorial on why violent offenders abuse animals repeatedly without feeling any bit of empathy. Bullying animals is nothing but cowardice. In a similar vein, a Delhi-based YouTuber has been arrested for tying his pet dog along with a bunch of helium balloons and flying it up in the air.

Gaurav, a famous YouTuber with four million subscribers, is popular for his channel “GauravZone”. The man had recently uploaded the video which has now brought in a lot of fury and rage among netizens. Though the video has been deleted at the moment, it shows the YouTuber showcasing his inappropriate behaviour along with his friends in a park while holding his pet dog, Dollar.

A bunch of colourful hydrogen balloons are tied to the dog’s upper body. “The upper body has started flying a little,” Gaurav is heard saying as he demonstrates the act. He is also seen telling the dog to run so that it can fly higher. Gaurav says they have tied two extra balloons to the dog to make it fly with ease.

The dog is seen floating up to a balcony on the second floor of a building. Currently, a case has been registered against Gaurav in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar police station under various sections of the law. He later deleted the video stating that he wants to apologize. He added that “all safety measures” have been taken before flying his pet.

“Before making the video, I had taken all the safety measures. I had said this in the video but did not upload this part as it would’ve increased the length of the video. It was a mistake on my part. All I want to say is that I had made the video with all the safety measures… wrong content went out and it should not have happened,” he said.

“I apologise if you felt bad after watching the Dollar video. I won’t try such things again. Those who’re getting influenced by such things, please don’t get influenced. If sentiments have been hurt, I truly seek your apology,” he further added. In conclusion, the video is certainly distressing and having a great deal of rationalization and empathy towards the emotion, pain, and the right to life of another creature has sadly become a rare talent.
