We lose at policy because we elect people who play politics with religion. So I repeat india can prosper only if we end religion

If religion is not enough , you will say population ,  caste ,  welfare , language , etc but policy matters are at the highest level  where none of these matter .

A simple example is "make in India" policy , instead of competing with countries around the world we have imposed lot of restrictions on imports and locked indian economy from the outside world . 

Instead of improving  infrastructure , tax code , legal issues , labour code , india chose the easy way out and reverted to licence raj. 

It's a complete joke that india cannot even compete with countries like Thailand in manufacturing which has 5 to 6 times wages .

Instead of focusing coastal areas for quick turnaround time , india is investing in infrastructure in a worthless landlocked state like UP . Who is going to export products from UP ? it doesn't make sense. 90% of Chinese exports are from facilities that are less than 100 km from coast

 Religion has no role to play here
