malli same question aduguthaav.

India creates a scarcity economy, where the states cannot allocate funds for what they want to.

TamilNadu has the highest proportion of college going students in the entire country. twice more than the second best state in the country. It has a much better medical infrastructure than most states.

they developed all these, by allocating money to these even in scarcity.

If TamilNadu was a separate country, we would be similar to Korea. But unfortunately stuck with 3rd rate India.

Ntr mass leader .... ppl like PV & mms are intellectual . They have 0 leadership qualities and utterly failed in elections ...

modi laga wooing speeches isthu...KCR , karunanidhi type lo janalani valla matalatho maya chese leaders eh Indian politics lo nilabadatharu. They’re not those kind of ppl. Andhuke chalasarlu elections lo odipoyaru. I don’t compare ntr garu with PV . Both are great people. PV ki power undhi sankeerna prabhuthwam lo... not like modiji now... single handed ga congress ki unna power kadhu... poni like mtr PV does not own that party too... there were lot of things made him to compromise on many issues.

That means he is not a leader. Tragedy is he got many many great opportunities which don't come even to mass leaders which he could have used to become a mass leader. He was CM, MP, cabinet minister then PM. He cannot be compared to MMS who is a bureacrat = PVN is a career politcian.

Congress somberi batch unnaru kadha... including ap cm that time

PVN was insulted before too by congress high command (full of the same brahmins he meaninglessly worried about). Compare PVN to jagga. Jagga was also insulted but he quit and came back to people and people won him power. Jagga was able to do it because for jagga power came from his people, delhi is something he has to manage but not the source of his power. that makes jagga democractic as well. The problem with PVN is he doesnt believe that his power comes from people despite the fact he was serving democracy. he believed power comes from patronage. He never loved his people as his own so he could never find that conviction that they will win him back. That alone makes him liable for criticism.

And my analysis is that this attitude is shaped by his caste beliefs - by tying himself with people with whom he really doesnt share anything and forgetting that his telugu identity is much more meaningful politically. He separated himself from 98% of population because he beleived he belonged to the 2%. In the end even that 2% disowned him. He is currently owned by telugu brahmins alone who are 2% within that 2% overall brahmin population. Which is a real tragedy considering all the potential he had to belong to so many people.

I agree - visually TN look horrible. I hear all this talk about tamilnadu gdp this gdp that but i always found things better both to north of TN (in andhra) and to the west (Kerala).

Maybe but whats the reason not to keep some basic things clean. That requires action at municipal level. The paris corner smells like urine - i dont know if it improved now.  You dont see such things in other parts of south india.

Induke ninnu 10gedhi. your love for Telugus seems like an escapist fantasy to me, when you are worried about sh1t like these.

I lived in the heart of Parrys, and I got along fine. These things will improve (and have improved) over time when the economy gets better. I was born and grew up in the poorest part of Chennai, which is 1000 times worse than Parrys, so? I still got a decent education.

Karunanidhi had bigger priorities, like social justice. Yes, public sanitation is a serious problem in all of TamilNadu. They will tackle it at the policy level some day. If Tamilians feel compelled to do it, they will. They don't have to listen to taunts of non-Tamils who hate them and digress from their goals within the sh1t system that India has created for them.

No doutbt they have built a better identity than telugu people = i give them credit for that. i am not saying they are inferior overall its just that cleaniliness is something that can be done without waiting for huge social changes.

You are welcome to avoid TamilNadu and Chennai. It will still do great without clueless people like you, who repeat racist tropes about a place as earnest opinions.

If TamilNadu had half the resources that AP had, it would be as rich as Maharashtra perhaps. Chennai, even as late as 2018, had a debilitating scarcity of water.

That's not the 'more' Telugodura is talking about. PVNR was from a different era, stuck in a feudal system as a communist with feudal tendencies.

Otherwise there's no reason for why self described socialists of the Nehruvian variety, wouldn't build more primary schools, than built a few IITs.

Hmmm...thana village lo landlords chesina atrocities chala vinna and he is not at all a communist ....he had in fact very good relations with rss...somewhat moderate right wing guy in inc..

No. They didn't build the identity. You always learn the wrong lessons.

They built a social justice system. one day they will tackle public sanitation too.

Yep once indian central pwoer is diminished i would welcome the competition from TN. They will be a worthy adversary no doubt.
