right handed Nadal

Love this guy. His backhand was so unique.  Extreme western to an already extreme Western grip.

Remember his final against Bruguera at FO 1993 I think. He also took the attack to Agassi on hard courts. Wonder what he's doing now a days

it was his forehand that reminds me of Nadal.. actually the other way around.

viciously kicks off on a clay court, just like Nadal's.

he suffered with wrist injuries in his short career, which is not surprising given his extreme grip.

this is where Nadal, the freak is simply too good. He never broke down to the extent people though he would, ever since he broke into mainstream consciousness by running Federer close in Indian wells in 2005. People kept saying that he's gonna be spent with 2-3 yrs.. and he's still playing.

forehand, yes. He is exceptional. Backhand, not so much. Federer it is, when it comes to backhand, one handed.

I said similar follow through on the forehand to Nadal. Nadal's is way more pronounced because he uses a different grip.

Have you seen Gustavo Kuerten play? Its almost like watching Federer play, except Kuerten's net game is close to zero.

I'm talking purely about styles here.

Very suspect though.. more so of late..

even at his best, Federer's backhand is not lethal. just has a little more variety than most other backhands out there. like he can make plays with it and has decent slice.

Kuerten, Wawrinka, Gaudio, Gasquet have better backhands. These backhands are just monstrous.
