When will Rajamouli be laughed out of Tollywood for his idiotic movies?

He is like a mafia leader, notice how it's the same team for every movie. His dad is the story writer, his relative Rajamouli is the music director no matter how past his prime he might be, almost the same producers for every movie etc.

They ensure that no young talented filmmaker who's experimentative ever becomes a threat to them, and they have a pretty powerful marketing team and a horde of brainless NRIs who lap up every shiit they make with glee and promote it free of cost even if they have to shell out $30 to watch that cringe fest on the big screen.

Telugu film makers are among the bottom most ones for a good reason.

I heard about SP Jananathan, a Tamil director who recently passed away at 61yrs. He made mostly movies around social issues with communist slanted themes.

He said that he worked over 10yrs with different models for a historical he had in mind about the story of how a particular temple was made in TN. And that he was a little bit jealous that Rajamouli was able to beat all of them with a successful historical fiction. lol.

Fact is, this guy is an amazing director. all his films are par excellent. and he had to drop this project midway, not because of funds, but because he wasn't getting anywhere close to the designs he wanted. I didn't even understand why he praised Rajamouli for all the 3rd rate designs he did.

He said that he got inspired by Baahubali, and revived his project. But unfortunately he passed away 1month after reviving the project.  Would have loved to see what he had in mind.

He would have made a film about the people who lived around the time when Chidambaram Temple was built, and not about the Chola king that built it.

There's a fresh crop of directors who are way better in their visual style and story telling than patha chinta kaaya pachadi ammey Rajamouli..

lets ask Telugu warrior @Telugodura456...

how did Bahubaali, one of the absolute worst and most pointlessly insipid movies to ever be made, make so much money? When will Telugu/Tamil/Hindi idiots stop promoting this mediocre s1t? pls tell @Telugodura456

i dont like Rajamouli as a person. As a director he has some talents. But i lost respect for him when i heard casteist dialogues in bahubali. Later in an interview too he justifed caste with its based on profession nonsense. As an artist if he cannot see the injustice then he is definitely a lesser man that i would like him to be.

But the hindi version of bahubali also did a huge business. but yes it appeals to worst aspects of india with its caste pride and mythology.

I"m talking about movies that have grand visual set designs, both in graphics and in real.

Baahubali was ugly visually. And bollywood definitely does make better more professional designs than any telugu film can.

may be only Maniratnam can match Bollywood visually from the south among the older directors. and some malaylam film makers I don't know the name of.

younger directors with some experience may try to match bollywood in the future. But not Rajamouli. Just watch Padmavat, Bajirao mastani trailer and tell me how much of it was graphics..

yedisaavule. Their baajirao etc are inspired by baahubali. its easy to make better when you are copying.

Telugu movies have been trend setters in india. Shiva is one trend setter. satya is another trend setter which was copied by so many bollywood movies later. in mythological movies no one holds a candle to telugu cinema. They were always trend setter.

In socialogical movies too telugu movies were copied like yama gola for eg. I dont know a single bollywood movie which can be called a trend setter though some where copied by telugu industry,.

which Satya? is there a telugu movie called Satya?

I'm talking here about Rajamouli. Not Telugu cinema itself.

The biggest cringe in baahubali 2 is casteist dialogue about kshatriya nd vaid and that kattappa role which looks cartoonish sometimes. Why do telugu movies demean people in secondary roles i dont understand - for example the relentless slapping of comedians. In this aspect jaathirathnaalu was much better.
