Such operations are incredibly hard to run in a country like India , I have known several NRI's who invested in farm sector only to return losses .   Wish him best of luck 

It’s not profitable andhukey wealthy people are not in agriculture yet, why waste your time and resources when you can buy the produce for pennies from a poor farmer who is desperate to sell at any cost. Govt free electricity input subsidy ichi without labor cost and lease cost tho poor farmers pandinchi pedithey wealthy can just go and buy with least price aithey
