2 types of cameras ....

DSLR and Mirrorless (similar to DSLR but no physical mirror )

DSLR lo best and budget lo antee  - NIKON and Cannon....... Mirrorless lo - SONY

Again DSLR lo Full frame/FX vs DX  - DX is small frame length and FX is full-frame  35mm (good for landscape and professional photography )

Only DSLR body is not sufficient , you need good lens for each purpose ......  like18-35mm or even wide range  for landscapes  , macro lens for flowers / animals , zoom lens for kids/sports and so on

finally  understand light , shutter speed ,  ISO ...

if you are serious about photography , better take midrangeDSLRs than beginner  where they offer more manual controls

better go with low cost full-frame and buy 3rd party lenses like Sigma bro

Canon Mark series very famous and good for value (you can find used lenses for cheap) - check Mark 6D II .... Nikon also very good

As I mention , pay more attention on lenses - https://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses
