Ford/Skoda & VW have very good build quality among the passenger vehicles in India consistently and from long and other players are behind them some are starting to build more better ones now.. Now TATA are also off late coming with cars with higher safety rating but their reliability is still a question mark.

As you have mentioned seen many major accidents to Ford vehicles but people travelling in it escaped out well, many of models have 6 Air bags.

Maruti-Suzuki, Hyundai & KIA are yet to reach safety levels of 3 mentioned above..

Ford build quality antha baguntundha? Never heard ..Volvo emphasizes on safety.. Merc, bmw and audi are also built with safety in mind ..don’t know much abt other brands

Volvo, Merc,BMW & AUDI are high end luxury brands obviously will be very very high on safety standards.

VW & Skoda are subsidiaries of Audi group they too are known for built quality and off course ford too you can check online about their safety standards.
