We have learned earlier that Gautam Adani, who witnessed the triumph with his continued rise in the market capitalisation of the Adani Group companies lost his spot as Asia’s second-richest person in a span of 20 days. He had a net worth reportedly fallen to $63 billion, from $77 billion-plus, losing approx $14 billion.

Today, Gautam Adani-led Adani Airport Holdings took over the management control of the Mumbai International Airport from the GVK group to become the country’s largest airport infrastructure company. With the new development, Adani Airport Holdings Limited now accounts for 25 per cent of airport footfalls.

The management now has a total of eight airports and 33 per cent control of the country’s air cargo traffic. According to the statement by the Adani group, the Mumbai International Airport Limited’s board meeting was held yesterday and follows approvals received from the central government, Maharashtra government, as well as the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) of Maharashtra.

The Adani Group will begin the construction of the Navi Mumbai International Airport next month and complete the financial closure in the next 90 days. Mr Adani said that he is delighted to take over the management of the world-class Mumbai Airport. He said their airport expansion strategy is intended to help converge India’s tier 1 cities with the tier 2 and tier 3 cities in a hub and spoke model.

In 2020, Adani Aiport Holdings took over the operations of Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mangaluru airports with an aim to develop next-generation airport-centric ecosystems.

GVK vaadiki okka airport ina migilinda. All assamed aa.

The upcoming greenfield airport at Navi Mumbai is being led by GVK.

Its good for GVK that they are not part of CSIA anymore, they were losing money by running India’s busiest airport. It’s was a bad deal for them.

But Navi Mumbai, These guys are gonna make some good money. Almost 200 acres earmarked for business development in one of the most expensive real estate zones. Just like AeroCity in Delhi for Indira Gandhi Airport..

After a series of bitter legal disputes involving entities located in different parts of the world, such as South Africa, Mauritius, Abu Dhabi and Canada and after search-and-seizure raids were conducted on the corporate group that operates India’s second-largest airport in Mumbai, on the last day of August, the Hyderabad-based GVK group, headed by G V K Reddy, capitulated and decided to “cooperate” with the Adani group to enable the latter to acquire controlling interest in companies operating two airports in the country’s commercial capital, Mumbai, including a new one coming up in Navi Mumbai.

First modi gaadi corporate affainrs enters

INQUIRY BY MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS

On October 15, it was reported that in early-September, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) had served notices to 11 companies in the GVK group, including MIAL, based on a complaint made by a “whistle-blower.”

Next modi gaadi CBI and ED

CBI AND ED MOVE IN

On June 27, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a first information report (FIR) against the promoters of the GVK group and “unknown” officials of AAI for having “connived” in, and for “deliberately committing (a) fraud and causing (a) loss to the government exchequer” by siphoning off “funds meant for the development of Mumbai airport.” The FIR (seen by the authors of this report) was reportedly based on information received from a “reliable source.”

On July 3, all major newspapers reported that the CBI team conducted searches in GVK group’s office premises in Mumbai and Hyderabad. It was disclosed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was also “studying the documents of MIAL” related to the CBI’s FIR.

GVK tried to increase their share of Mumbai Airport. Then adani wanted it, so Ministry of corporate affairs, CBI, ED have launched raids on GVK.  He gave up.

Yeah, they wanted to increase the share badly to offset the costs. The cost spiraled and break even was few decades away. They even tried foreign funding like GMR did but did not materialize citing assets and liabilities of GMR group. BNP Paribas rejected 1B $ loan.

Sensing this financial struggle, Adani gadu entered the ring.

End of the line, GVK Group were not making any money from this airport. Anduke vallu Navi Mumbai side focus pedithe, Adani gadu ekanga CSIA ni esukuni poindu.
