Job Responsibilities:

Developer providing production support of a current SQL 2008 environment. Duties include: development of fixes, enhancements, and net new solutions for multiple, complex databases. This position supports SQL database interactions with customer facing web application servers which manage highly complex customer relationships across an enterprise environment with a strong focus on the synchronized interaction of data across multiple business units.



Additionally plays a consultant role with business partners to advise on high impact data or database management situations, influencing strategic direction. Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical databases; leading highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts; developing management policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development.



Required Skills

·        4-year degree

·        7+ years’ database design experience.

·        Expert level knowledge in: SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, SSIS, Visual Studio, Reporting Services, various Database Join types, SQL Grouping, use of built-in functions/User defined functions, system stored procedures, advance features of SQL Server 2005/2008, Systems Integration, and Production Management

·        Understanding Entity-Relationship and coding using ER diagram.

·        Experience with handling moderate to large tables/databases, Query performance tuning, Distributed Transaction, Distributed Queries/Linked Servers.

·        Experience with modifying/analyzing existing complex code to extract/understand business logic.

·        Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to diverse business and technical audiences

·        Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

·        Ability to take ownership of the task assigned

·        Ability to work in a close Team environment, on site or in a remote office

·        Analytical skills, ability to 'think outside the box' and move concepts to implementation.



Preferred Skills

·        Familiar with Agile Development

·        Functional knowledge of Visual Studio/.NET, VB.NET, HTML, ASP.NET, IIS, JAVA Script,

CSS, Web Services, User Interface Design, System Workflow, e-Commerce Transactions,

Access and Entitlement Systems, Web 2.0 Systems, Systems Integration, and Production

Management
