Its a side effect of politicization of religion, which didn't begin with Sangh in India. It existed way earlier than that. India still refuses to grow up, and act in a civilized manner. Especially its majority group.

India's Hindus already carried a latent hatred for muslims in their hearts, and Modi's rise just gave voice to that hatred. It has nothing to do with Congress actions.

If anything, Congress was the original Sanghi party, that BJP's Sanghiness overtook in Modi/Shah era.

It was not a trivial issue. It was an unfair demand. India had no business constructing Ram Mandir on that location in the first place.

Hindu concerns are poverty, malnutrition, shelter etc. Everything else is just cultural whining of a minority. Ofcourse that minority has managed to now sell their whiny ass agenda to the majority successfully.

Agree with you but bjp came to life only after Shah Bano judgement and subsequent pandering by Rajiv gandhi . 

Remember that sanghis were mostly fringe party before that, no one took religion as a big issue until then . Elections were fought on basic needs and social alignment till then

Sanghis were in Congress before that, duh!

Today Sanghis are in corporate spaces. They wouldn't even have attended Shakhas, but they are now Sanghis.

religion is only half the story here. The main story here is changing socioeconomic relations between various sections, and capture of power of the petite bourgeios by displacing the wine spiing secularist liberal elite.. That's what spurred Sanghi revolution. Shah-Bano may be the spark, but heavy pandering of fundamentalist and Sanghi Hindus have been going on for well over a century in India now.

Just that any amount of pandering is not enough for them. Religion is just the tool Sanghis used. Only dumbfcuks within Sanghi circles actually believe anything they spout. Everything for them is an opportunity for propaganda.

Congress did not pander to muslim fundamentalists anymore than they pandered to Hindu fundamentalists.

upper caste unsophisticated Hindus wanted to displace elite wine sipping beef eating Hindus, so BJP was born. nothing more than that.
