lease car accident…..

I leased this car 15 days back & Unfortunately I was involved in a multiple car crash at a signal. A car stopped in front of me at a traffic light and then i stopped behind it, the next car behind me stopped too and the car behind it rear ended it and led to a chain reaction of multiple crashes. I called the police & we exchanged insurance details. My car rear bumper, trunk & front bumper got damaged & the party who is at fault, their insurance called me and spoke to me. I mentioned it’s a lease car and gave my car dealers details and when they called them they said that it has to be repairer at their body shop. My question is

1. Im pretty sure it will be recorded as an accident and will showup on carfax report. And the car value will be affected due to it right? In this case can we ask insurance folks to pay off for the car so i won’t be liable to any loss or additional charges when i return it at the end of my car lease?

2. Since it’s repairable and if insurance folks do not agree for it is it we can hire an attorney and succeed? Did anyone ran into similar situation? If yes then please provide valuable recommendation. TIA

If its a lease car why do you worry about depreciation, after lease you return the car to dealership ..

1. you cannot just ask them to total car they wouldn't just total unless major in this case looks like bumper if you are not at fault you should be good even if lease car. just make sure you claim insurance thru party at fault insurance. you can claim thru yours too same thing but less hassle

2. dont think attorney can help here only bumper antunav.  appraisers will be from third-party and their decision final. why wud u buy an accident car even after lease

1. Already who is at fault’s insurance called me and acknowledged they are at fault and process the claim. If we have to with our insurance we have pay deductible and it doesn’t make as im not at fault.

2. My original intention was to buy out the car after 3 yrs but i leased first to make my monthly payments low. So now if i return the car after 3 yrs then all my money is gone right like why do i have to suffer when im not at fault and it’s just been 15 days that i lease the car.

there is a thing called diminished value - insurance companies ni adigite kanee ivvaru check on that and you can apply. this should cover the price decrease of a car because of the accident.

do u know if i can claim it? Like wen i read online it says for lease cars since dealers own it they have the right to claim diminished value and not the leasee so in all ways looks like only option is to return car at the end but will loose 3 yrs of my money as i originally planned to buy it at the end of the lease

We had same thing 3yrs back our premium increased when you apply for insurance or change insurance there you have to mention your violations even if it’s multiple crash with no fault our premium got increased bcoz insurance company paid for your damage..they will collect from you in either way
