one friend faced this… he is in usa and police was emailing and calling him to come to India for 498a case … he didn’t go for 1 year… then his parents with some mutual relatives help settled the issue and girl withdrew 498a… but divorce case still there… then he went to India to appear in court for final divorce proceedings… now he is legally out of …
