unless the person owns the home, nothing changes wrt tax perspective.

he has resiential property like 3 houses.. vadu valla emi kattu antunaud like less rent compared to area ... and cash lo evvu antunadu ..kavali antay rental agreement online dorikedhi esthanu danitho license lantivi cheyachu antunadu ...  taxreturns appudu home ani evvu em kadhu antunadu ...

EMi amount katta mantunnadu...not the EMi itself right...

so he will be considered renter...and nothing changes for tax purpose..regular ga file cheskovadame...

Owner friend  gadu rental income chupioddu ani cash adugutunnadu....because if he shows rental income he has to pay tax. (home owner benefits negate avutai ani.

I don't think rental income is taxable in USA. There will be property tax and that's it.
