Also this whole oil paln trend requires long term support , thousands of acres were planted in Nellore almost 3 decades back and almost all of it ended up in losses because rates crashed 3,4 years after planting .  

I am quite skeptical of this fad

That's why I am skeptical of this oil production mission , people with Short term planning should not encourage farmers to invest in plants that require long gestation period

Oil production and distribution, machinery, marketing, raw materials etc evi lekunda oka product ni encourage chesthe panga namalu ae gathi. 
 

But the sheen is off paddy in Telangana. Might be a good alternative. Of course chetulu kalutayi but collateral damage lekunda vundanika idemi SBI lo fixed deposit kaadu kada..
