film industry needs a correction. Tax lu sarigga kattaru. Malli govt nunchi free bees kavali. Siru gaadu patha house ki govt nunchi govt rate ki land thisukunnadu. Daani real value appatlo 10X untadhi min.

Absolutely. This is the only concern… ey roju vi aa roju deposit cheyyadam or weekly deposit avuthey better. But i doubt that would happen when govt is involved

Inni facts cheppav govt nundi eppudaina dabbulu teesukunnava any contract or something...nakinchestaru...asale mana hit rate 10 to 15%..papam flop aina vadiki vache dabbulu kuda lagesukuntaru e politicians. entertainment tax yaada undhi? antha GST ye ga? I think only tamilnadu is levying this tax for non-tamil films.

Paisal ivvaka povatam anedhi correct ye.. but even private exhibitors don't pay distributors in time.

bookmyshow is only a service faciliatory kada, vadu service charges vasool chestadu and vadu kuda GST kattukovali kada...tax withold chesthe, Doesn't it make complicated for BMS to operate ?

from what I heard was the proposal was to create a market place for movie tickets, an umbrella where all exhibitors will have to list their show timings and tickets and everyone who purchases tickets or sells tickets have to happen through this ...even the tickets that are sold at theatre counter need to go through this ticketing portal and all the amount collected minus service charges will be remitted to exhibitor the next business day. There is no involvement of government in  payment part.

The only issue is to relax ticket prices in the first week which government is not in favor.

This proposal was mooted by the producers and distributors, who claim its tough to collect money from exhibitors and the difference in actual ticket sales and reported ticket sales can be avoided. More over most producers these days make bank payments or cheque payments, black money or cash payments has considerably gone down.
