Although my family didn't have much banned  notes at that time , we employ upto 15-20 daily labourers and have to pay them everyday . 

We couldn't find enough 100 rupee notes easily , had to resort to getting 10/20 notes from petrol bunks to pay them on time 

atleast one year notes kosam kastalu thappaledhu

Why will ambani not benefit ? only credit card networks were working. who have the financial software and heft to process credit card payment - companies like reliance retail. Demon destroyed many small traders who dont have the financial strength of corporates or networks of marwardis. who benefits from lack of competition big corporates.

india's corporates dont do manufacturing or any such nice things. they deliver food to home , sell goroceries. Essentially most indian start ups and corporates compete with small guys. It was necessary for them to destroy the small business. demon was for that purpose.

All that is short term benefit , if you think mukesh Ambani thinks on 1 year timeframes I cannot argue anymore . 

Reliance would be greatly benefited if india was growing at 8-10% growth more than whatever spike he saw for  six months 

But  I agree marwadis also greatly benefited from this , they had a network to conveet old notes unlike normal businessmen and their gold business made a killing
