AP is buying power at alarmingly high price...and thats the case with most other states today. Phukat la power kavali..paisa matram pettodhu..edikelli vastadi power ?

Its called as utilities..does not come for cheap..you need to pay for what you use and how many are paying in your state for what they use ?

It’s nation wide 20 with slight deviations across regions based on transmission corridor availability, location of generation, losses in that area… 20 is for peak hours and off peak hours low price … but states buy at peak hours that is when demand will be high… night when demand is low generation will be reduced all over India

your average logic is not applicable from states point of view who buy power only during peak hours

@psycopk  just a gist out of topic..

 AP power plants depend aye coal comes from Odisha 75% of it, and 25% comes from Singereni..

recent rains to railway transport mottam mingesindi, and at same time imports from Australia for coal got cut down.

Center was asking states to increase their backup capacity, but states said please dont send , we dont have capacity to hold.

Now Maharashtra, Rajasthan, etc are running out of coal, and some Power wealthy states like Chattisgarh, Haryana are selling the power at higher rates..

to combat the Money capacity of Mumbai or Rajasthan...states like AP, are shelling out more money per unit...

Center is stepping up to avoid that higher rate selling and asking discoms to send the extra  power to central grid, so that they can sell it to states at nominal prices...work is in progress...

this issue ramped up in last one week....so hopefully it eases out soon.

 

For TG, there is continous supply from Singereni, so their plants are running at full capacity.
