But things are different in South. Access to education, opportunities and resources gave rise to multiple options career wise and armed forces are not first preference for youth anymore like it is the North.

All these martial races theories was started by british to create a skin color based hierarchy. Otherwise not possible for tiny nation like britain to rule huge indian masses.

But when Indian govt formed it could have taken swift action to end all these caste based regiments - jat regiment, rajput regiment ,maratha regiment, sikh regiment.  But it deliberately kept them alive. Despite demands it did not create a  dalit regiment or language based regiment. it doesnt even have the guts to change Madras regiment name.

Pakistan which inherited the same army ended all caste regiments. Their regiments are based on their states - sindh/punjab/baloch/khyber pakthoon.

Indian army and indian govt have very little trust on indians and are always suspicious.

North and central Indian states coal and iron ore supply apesthe, South India eda vuntado telusa ?

Look at South India now, coal india nundi supply light ga disturb avuthe ne power cuts and nana hungama...imagine if they have to depend on imports, what would have been the situation today especially when coal prices have gone up by three fold.

Not really..IAF pays for everything including food, liquor, and services. Whereas for headmaster, he needs to pay for everything out of the paycheck.

Lol  do you think an senior engineer who works on rocket engine development  from IIT Bombay will work for 224 k salary in private sector ?  The perks are miniscule , I have eaten in bengaluru IAF officers mess . Terrible food 

They get a car/driver / accomodation / free bar / access to golf course and subsidised apartment at retirement .   Most of these perks are rank dependant 

But They would get atleast ten times more in private 

No govt teacher will get same salary in private sector

Look at DRDO scientists, gold standard guys and they hardly make a quarter of what recent graduate from IIT makes. 

Look at ISRO, they get hardly anything compared to private sector.

Look at DMV, they hardly get to make 3k/month where as if they work as realtor, they get to make twice or thrice as much as they make..

What is that we are comparing here? Secretariat employee ki 50k vasthe, Bank Manager ki 1 lakh vastadi...same age and same qualification vunna...salesforce admin makes 80-90k in Dallas whereas same profession with same qualifications pays 150k in bay area. BA in fintech makes more money in Boston than a federal serviceman..

we can't compare such scales..

Military jobs are really lucrative. So lets stop this discussion people are not going because they have better oppurtunities elsewhere. Even soldiers jobs are very lucrative.  90% of time is staying in places like secunderabad cantonment where only explosions are during diwali.

Its hard to find a private job with a life long pension just after 20 years. In punjab etc these sons of farmers go there for 20 years and come back to farmland with life long pension.

South indians dont join because indian army doesnt care to reach out to them and make it freindly.
