“Samantha is today’s Mahanati”, Tells NTR

On the occasion of Dusshera, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her appearance on the game show, Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, hosted by Jr NTR. After announcing her separation from Naga Chaitanya, EMK is the first assignment that Samantha took up. The entire episode went on a fun mode with NTR teasing Samantha and the actress taking it on a sportive note.

Interestingly, team Meelo Evaru Koteeswarulu prepared a list of questions that are connected to Samantha’s life in one or the other way.

The first question was about workouts and the second question was about dogs.

The third question was from Hindu mythology and it was related to Samantha’s next film Shakuntalam.

The fourth question was an audio question where Samantha had to identify a particular song from a Telugu film. The song is ‘Inka Yedho’ from the film Darling.

Talking about the film, “The film was released in 2010 during the release of Ye Maya Chesave. I watched the film and thought that Kajal was extremely beautiful in it. I am a big fan of Kajal,” said Samantha.

The fifth question was about a historic place (Hampi). It is a tradition that the host will give trivia after every question. During the fifth question, Samantha tried to give trivia on her own and Jr NTR confronted her. Samantha then funnily commented, “I want to do this because I want to try hosting this show in the second season.”

The sixth question was about the central government’s scheme, ‘Beti Bachao, Bedi Padao’. Following this question, Samantha shared about her school, Ekam, which she started for the purpose of ‘early learning’. “I started the school for the beginners who are less than 5 years of age. I believe in equality and we don’t have any Fairy Tale books in our school,” said the actress.

The seventh question is about gardening. Following this question, Samantha discussed her ‘Hydroponics’ project that she did during the lockdown. Samantha started terrace gardening at her home during the lockdown and she said, “I believe that Hydroponics is the future.”

Samantha also talked about RRR teasers and complimented both Jr NTR and Ram Charan. “We can’t wait to watch the film. You are an uncontrollable talent,” said Samantha to NTR.

Immediately, Jr NTR said, “Savitri garu was Mahanati back then and you are today’s Mahanati. You have all the qualities to become a Mahanati.”

The eighth question is about PV Sindhu’s achievements. “After Sindhu won the Olympics, all the parents sent their girls to play badminton. I also played badminton back then but could not do it for more than two days,” said Samantha.

The ninth question was about the well-known avenue ‘Champs-Élysées’, located in Paris. The tenth question was about the Padmaavat movie. While answering the question, Samantha said that she is a big fan of Deepika Padukone. The eleventh question was about textiles. The twelfth question is about an International Airport. The thirteenth question was about a book penned by Shashi Tharoor.

Usually, the celebrities who take part in the show will have to pledge their prize money to charity. Samantha who runs an NGO ‘Prayusha’ foundation announced that her prize money will go to the foundation. By the time the end siren rang, Samantha won 25 Lakh rupees in the game show.
