Affirmative action was supposed to bring about social change, but quite sad to see the so called "upper" caste people behave in a low class manner. Social change starts from home and unfortunately people with these backward regressive minds are passing of as the OCs. Just imagine without reservations, we would have left millions in the shackles of caste based oppression. There would have been a bloodbath, like that which happened in French Revolution where the streets of Paris flowed with blood of the aristocrats. Reservations provide a soft ramp for societal change and everyone needs to accept that and bring more of the dalits, backwards castes into a more equal and egalitarian society. That is modern and forward thinking. Simply calling oneself forward doesn't make one forward.

bro simple clarification, OC = open category kada, your posts seem to refer OC to upper castes?

Say in a class of 100, 50 seats are reserved and 50 are for OC. ANYONE can take those OC seats, as long as they have a good rank. They are not RESERVED for upper castes.

For example, a topper ST candidate can take up a seat in open category without using their privilege, where other ST candidate can be benefited.

I think this is a BIG misconception about OC, where people think it is only for upper castes

Using profanity when you cannot discuss intellectually has become an easy out, I wouldn't have responded when people show such moral bankruptcy, however the holes in your argument are all so glaring.

Twisted logic which no intellectual in the whole world agree on ... If not, there would be reservations in most countries as there are minorities and under privileged people in most. 

India continue to suffer because of these vote bank policies

Because, we assume that if someone is SC or ST, then they have no merit, but got what they did because of reservation. It's actually true even with women in most cases. People tend to assume that you're not as good as someone without reservation. As long as this inherent bias exists against SC/ST people, they deserve every bit of reservation. Until this notion is not gone in upper castes, we need reservations.
